Way back in 1773, the colonists held a sick party on several boats in Boston Harbor that would later be known as the “Boston Tea Party”. Fun fact: This historic get-together would eventually inspire the Boston Beer Company (aka Mr. Sam Adams himself) to invent Twisted Tea in his basement in Southie. 12 years later in 1785, the first group of settlers arrived in the tiny township of Berlin here in Vermont, among them was a young Gazpacho Canal, who was infamous for being one of the late-night party goers at the Boston Tea Party.
Inspired by her family connection to the world’s greatest tea party, our very own local patriot Borscht Canal has enlisted the help of 69 Sided Dice (the ultimate party planner) to help throw a celebration in honor of Von Tramp’s new Seltzer and Twea Act! Expect a 4 to 5 mile trail; no Turkey/Eagle splits; a large body of water; for your feet to get wet; and some absolutely twisted hard teas. I’ve also been told that anyone who is looking to attend should practice “dumping” ahead of time.
Trail begins from the infamous starting location of the recent Green Up Day trail, so point your GPS towards the Twilight Zone and cross your fingers. For what it’s worth, the ancient texts call this area “Berlin”.
