Third shift. Night watch. Witching Hours. Graveyard shift. Whatever you call it, get ready to hash from sun up to sun down as Nurse Rainblow brings a tradition from her mother kennel to the shores of Lake Champlain with an overnight trail on the shortest night of the year. We’ll celebrate Rainblow’s hashiversary and the summer solstice with this marathon of a trail. Well, maybe only half marathon distance-wise. But it will definitely be long and go from sunset to sunrise, or roughly 8:40pm to 5:07am. Trail starts near the Centennial Field parking lot right after the Lake Monsters game (see below) and will be A to A-ish depending on how the evening goes. Your finest scrubs, Hawaiian shirts, glow sticks, reflective clothing and anything else to light up the night are all encouraged.
A few more notes from the lead hare:
Bring your ID, a charged cranium lamp, and bug spray.
Turkey true trail is ~10.69 miles. Eagle will be another 3 to 6 miles longer. Yeehaw!
Wanna cum, but can't stay the whole time? Contact RainBlow ASAP and she’ll help you figure out a bail out point (and possibly use your car for hiding beer).
NO IRISH GOODBYES. If you do bail, please let someone in the group know, so that we don't waste the night trying to find your ass.
Uber does run overnight in Burlington, however that might be a long wait especially at peak airport times.
And the rumors are true: we're pre-lubing trail with some frozen margaritas! 🍹 Join Von Tramp for some drinking practice at the Lake Monsters game on Saturday evening before trail. It also happens to be Margaritaville Night!
