So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye...

Citizens of Von Tramp,

We’ve spent the last five years ruling with a firm, flour-dusted grip. Together, we’ve built an incredible family here in Vermont. We’ve survived freezing winters, braved insane mud seasons, and drank more PBR and Twisted Tea than our doctors (and dentists) would ever advise.

But every great adventure eventually has a plot twist.

It is with incredibly mixed emotions, that we announce your beloved tyrants, Flexible Video Endoscope and 69 Sided Dice, are officially relocating to San Diego shortly after our 100th VTH3 Trail.

Yes, we are trading the green mountains for the sandy beaches.

The End of Tyranny

We know the immediate question on everyone’s mind is: “Who takes over Von Tramp?”

The truth is… no one.

Von Tramp is coming west with us.

Running a kennel is a beautiful, complicated, messy beast, and for better or worse, we’ve kept the reins tightly in our own hands for the past five years. Because Von Tramp is so deeply tied to our daily lives, our bank account (still), and the way we’ve built it, we aren’t handing over the keys. We’re also not saying goodbye forever. Instead, we’re pressing pause while we make this move and figure out what the next chapter looks like.

When we started this group as a little winter offshoot, we had no idea it would turn into its own unique, beautiful monster. Von Tramp isn’t just the two of us—it’s every single one of you who shouted “Nut Hut” at the top of your lungs, braved the worst shiggy, and always brought your best selves to the circle. You all turned this from a passion project into a true family. We love you all too much to try to steer the ship from 3000 miles away or let this kennel slowly fizzle out. Instead, we're going out with a massive, undeniable bang: our very own Ragnarök.

The Last Trail: A Viking Funeral

Just because we are ending this period, we are not throwing a somber, tearful 100th Trail. We will be throwing an absolute rager of a Viking funeral to send Von Tramp to Valhalla the weekend of September 18th and 19th with a Burlington bar crawl on Friday night and a Jericho trail featuring overnight camping on Saturday. More details will come soon.

When the dust settles on the 100th Trail this September, this chapter of Von Tramp will take a well-earned, indefinite nap. We want to go out with all of you at the absolute peak of our game, keeping the memories of this era of Vermont tyranny legendary.

Save the date.
Get your livers ready.
Polish your Viking helmets.
VTH3 Trail #100 is coming, and we’re going to burn this longship down in style.

On-On to the West Coast,

Flexible Video Endoscope & 69 Sided Dice
