This Thanksgiving, come celebrate everything you’re thankful for along Vermont’s favorite crack! We’ll be exploring the Hinesburg Thrust Fault which isn’t nearly as dirty as it sounds. Actually… I just looked up what a thrust fault is, and it is just as dirty as it sounds—a thrust fault is when older rock layers have been pushed up and over younger rock layers. Ew.
And this trail has got everything you expect out of a trail in Vermont: thorns, barbed wire, loose rocks, farm animals, views of New York, angry hunters, friendly locals, warm cheap beer, and a craft brewery. That means you should wear your least favorite shiggy socks, dress in something bright orange, and have your ID with you for trail. Eagle trail will be around 5 miles, and much less for all you Turkeys.
On-after will be in South Burlington and if you need crash space, reach out to someone in the Von Tramp or Burlington mismanagements to help you out.
If you want the full Trifukcta experience, start on Black Friday in New York's capital region then wobbling up to Montreal on Sunday afternoon..
