This year marks the 50th anniversary of the tragedy of the Edmund Fitzgerald, a freighter that sank in Lake Superior during a storm on November 10, 1975 with all 29 crew members aboard. Inspired by Gordon Lightfoot’s song that immortalized the Fitz, we’ll traverse the shores of Lake Champlain regaling all who will listen with the tale of the time “when the gales of November came early.”
Trail starts from Foam Brewers and will be a pavement pounder to keep you all safely on the shore. But that still shouldn’t stop you from donning your finest wool sweaters, tiny beanies and/or yellow foul weather gear. (Fisherman chic and lighthouse core are SO in right now.) Make sure to bring your IDs with you on trail because Flexi and Scum have planned an afternoon full of sea shanties, cold winds, local dive bars, and naughty nautical antics.
🎟️ We’re also bringing back Flexi's BOGO deal: bring a virgin to this trail and you'll get a coupon that can be redeemed for free a trail in the future. What a bargain!
