It’s the first Saturday of May, which here in Vermont can only mean one thing: It’s Green Up Day! 🚮 What’s Green Up Day? Only the best holiday ever: It’s trashy, it’s fun, it’s a statewide effort where volunteers clean up roadside trash and fill as many green trash bags as we can.
Borscht Canal (who got named on a Green Day trail) is colluding with Cop Block to take us on a plog around Barre this year. Because we’ll be picking up trash along the trail, make sure to bring a pair of gardening gloves with you. Even though we’ll be in a town called Barre, you probably don’t want to be touching potentially gross things with your barre hands. Plus, the person who picks up the most trash will get a prize. It’s also the Kentucky Derby, so wear your fanciest hat because the best hat will also get a prize! SO MANY PRIZES.
